Service and food were excellent as usual
This was our first time at this restaurant and we couldn't have been more pleased. The setting was nice, the service, food and drinks were excellent. We will be back!

The food was overpriced and when asked how much to put chicken in quesadillas, the server didn’t know. We put it in and the kids meals were almost as much as our meal. When we received our bill, it was $90! If I knew it was going to be that much I never would have come. After speaking to the manager(owner) he insulted me and then punched the wall. Never ever going back or recommending it to anyone else.
Great Seating, Great waitress, Great wine, great food. Super laid back place with great atmosphere. We enjoy the Boteros and palm trees.
Felt that by using the restaurant discount the management was not pleased. Suggest not being part of a discount program if not willing to treat customers equally.
The food was delicious, and the server was nice, however, when we received the bill, we were charged for a different item that what we ordered. The different item costs more. When I mentioned this with the server, she began to argue with me and tell me that is what I ordered and ate. The item she was charging me for was nothing like what I ordered and ate. She refused to listen to me and acknowledge she made a mistake and said I was confused.

From start to finish, we had a great experience. A friendly waitress greeted us and we were seated immediately. She made a great suggestion for the appetizer and was great with my four year old. Expertly provided input on the entrees and was quick and courteous. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious.

I have eaten at Palma de Cera for years and have NEVER had a bad meal. Every guest that I have taken to this restaurant returns.

The overall dining experience was very good. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful to us. We really enjoyed the food. The steak has a very smoky flavor to it. All the food was very flavorful, without being spicey. It was like getting a taste of another country's food, without needing a passport to get there..

The service was okay, waitress took to long to get drinks, and forgot our desert. The food was just okay. For the price of the food, it was just okay. There was hardly any food on the plate for the price. I paid 5.99 for a small ramekin of guacamole, which was ridiculous. I would not come back.

Service was great. The food was not. Wings, if fried (which they were) should be crispy and if they are made to order should take at least 8 minutes to prepare...we had them in five telling me the wings were pre-cooked. I also tried the Bruschetta chicken which sounded nice. The risotto was subpar kinda grainy, undercooked with an odd taste. The chicken was dense and unflavorful. The Corned Beef sandwhich had an extra heavy taste of brown sugar and was very dry...there was a french onion soup which was overly salty and way too sweet.

The empenadas seemed too perfect in shape. We suspect that they were frozen and not home made. All of the food was pretty bland tasting. The black beans looked and tasted like they came out of a can.

We will visit again. Prices for dinner entries quire high. $14 - 18 for an entree is high. That is what we would expect to pay at a larger, fancier, free-standing restaurant, not a medium sized restaurant like this.

Our waiter was very attentive, and the dinner was excellent, as usual. ALL of their steaks are excellent! The ceviche was very good, as well, but I know there's a way to make ceviche without having a very strong lemon flavor. I'd have to look up my recipe to see what was missing from theirs.

We normally love Palma De Cera. The food is good and service is friendly. Tonight though, we had an experience that soured us on Palma De Cera. It was just two of us, my husband and myself. When the bill arrived, we were surprised to see a 20% gratuity had been added to the total (before the $25 discount). We always give a 20% tip (before discount), but we thought it was presumptuous for the restaurant to add a 20% gratuity to a bill with only 2 people! Their menu says that "Parties of 5 or more will receive a service charge of 18% gratuity", so why did a party of 2 receive a service charge of 20% gratuity? We didn't question it because we were going to leave a 20% gratuity anyway, but the idea of them just sticking a 20% gratuity onto the bill has left a bad taste in our mouth. We have eaten here several times, and have brought many people here. We've brought in large groups who have brought in large revenue. Now we aren't so sure we'll be back.

The shrimp in pasta was over-cooked and tough, and there was only 4 shrimp versus the original 6 shrimp when we started frequenting this restaurant. The wine was over-priced at $6.50 per 3 oz glass

It was an excellent meal from the seasoning and tenderness of the meat to the delicious potatoes. My husband cleaned his plate with the red snapper diablo. The bananas foster was average and the coffee was good, though I would have preferred decaf and they didn't offer it.
I love Palma de Cera... this is my first time there using a certificate from restaurant.com... I don't recall they included the gratuity but 24% seemd a little high to me...not sure I will repeat the certificate experience
We loved our Palma De Cera dining experience. We were, however, surprised that an automatic gratuity was added for 5 people. Most restaurants add an automatic gratuity for 6 or more. It's not a problem, because we usually tip 20% of the bill before the gift certificate, which is actually more than the 18% they added. We would've tipped 20%, but we were a little put off by the automatic gratuity for only 5 people so we did not add additional tip. We usually do.

Food was very good, but a little exensive given other restaurants in the area. As a result, we probably would only dine here if we had a coupon / discount of some sort.

This is probably our favorite restaurant. The kids like it which is odd for a nice restaurant that the adults like.

I have driven by this restaurant. The Restaurant.com offer encouraged me to eat out at this retaurant. Our waiter was helpful and one of the best I've had. He explained the food and was kind enough to box up left overs. Very postitive Sunday lunch after church.
