Reviews
I have been to this restaurant several times a year. It has been my go to place for special occasions. I was very disappointed today as the quality of the food appears to be lowered. Example: the bread given before the meal consisted of a single type: whole wheat. For the past several years you were offered a variety of types including thin bread sticks. The dipping oil was replaced with a mustard sauce. The first time we never asked for more bread. The prices increased as well. $20 for a hamburger with mushrooms? I will try again to see if there might be a change...
Salmon was good. Scallops were undercooked, mushy.
Excellent food and service. We had a good time and the restaurant let us stay to finish after closing.
We did the breakfast buffet. The refills on coffee, juice and clearing used plates was slow.
We ordered vegetarian dish but the served dish had lobster. The dish was changed but still could have been avoided if chef was more careful.
Nice elegant setting , freshly prepared food, attentive servers and management.
Great tasting food . Super fast service !
The food was bland. Service was rushed. We were getting our food before finishing the other courses. The waiter splashes the wine when pouring that spills everywhere. Very expensive for mediocre food. We eat out 4 times a week but we're not coming back.
it was nice of them to bring a birthday ice cream for my coworker
Although the food was very good (scallops were excellent, pasta OK), it was a bit expensive.
This restaurant is in a hotel and therefore has the hotel feel
Great service..great value.. regular diner here on trips overseas
The food was quite good.....very good in fact. Our server, however, was beyond hopeless. I'm praying it was her first day on the job, though I don't think so. She had zero knowledge of drinks or the menu and didn't seem particularly disturbed about her lack of knowledge. We waited a long time for every drink and every food course. I don't know if she was forgetful, or just disinterested, but I had to go directly to the bar to get service and placed a salad order with the manager to have some confidence the order would find its way to the kitchen. The manager was competent, and if not for him the server would have melted down completely, I'm sure. As I said though, the food was good, the décor is above-average for a hotel restaurant, and I'm not going to trash the place because of one bad server who hopefully will get her act together or move on to a more suitable position. If we had had even an average server, our dining experience could have been excellent.
We we're lonely.
Their steaks are excellent and very tasty. others are fine. their own & fresh bread as starter are also good.
THE SERVER WAS GREAT
Lovely restaurant. Quiet. Great service. Food is wonderful. Chef Jose is fabulous!
Good atmosphere and service
The management is trying his best to please customer. However, the waiter did not have the time to pay more attention to us as he is so busy at the bar as well. It seems that this restaurant would need more staff.
good service, food presentation
The server was very attentive. Although some items were rather pricey there were reasonably priced items. The spaghetti with meatballs was a very generous portion although it was listed under small plate. It came with a generous portion of bread. The cheeseburger and fries were quite good too. The server offered to send up the carry out order to our son via room service which was a treat for him. Very nice restaurant although we dined in bar area and watches soccer.
Food was ok but could have been better.
Poor service, limited menu
Great waiter, great food, wonderful environment....bright light, open space, quiet
Thank you for the dessert "on the house" for our anniversary!
Friendly service
Service was very poor. Food was great! The server did not attend to us for a while, then he acted like he did not care for us. I asked him for a candle on the table, he did not bring one. Then he brought the drinks but disappeared again and I had to go in the hallway to call him to order the meals. The restaurant was not busy at all. It was actually getting ready to close for the day. then we went to dine on the tables outside and 3 of the employees came to smoke near our table...
The restaurant was closwd and we had to eat in the bar lounge. The food was terrific. The service was good. I would have rated both excellent except for the fact the bar area was noisy and busy and this detracted from our overaqll experience.
Overall, the dining was excellent. The food was delicious, Elsa (our server) was super, and we even got to meet the chef. I feel the appetizers were a little overpriced ($14 for 2 sm-med sized scallops in a delicious marinara sauce - although beautifully plated). My wife had the Twin Beef Filets Gorgonzola. This plate was awesome! 2 nice sized filets on top of polenta cakes. The filet (bite) melted in my mouth. I had the special of the day - pork chop with a side of broccolini. Delicious!Dessert - can't say enough about the Chocolate mousse! Awesome.
Sufficient as a hotel restaurant, but not the level of quality and value to satisfy locals. The atmosphere is very bland, corporate, and not intimate enough. The service was inconsistent. There was one highly skilled waiter, but three that were clumsy. They traded duties back and forth, but did not communicate well, so we had to repeat ourselves and received a couple wrong orders. Two did not speak English well enough to be waiting on tables. The food quality is average, and extremely overpriced. The quality is on a level with Macaroni Grill or Carrabas, but priced at least 50% higher. If you look at the website or the menu and its prices, you see they are pretending to be a much higher dining experience than they really are.
super food, excellent service!
Great food! Even better people!
The waiter, Dou, was very nice.
I went because of the menu & reviews. Food was horrible, slow service and expensive for quality
Diningroom was closed. Apparently it is now closed on the weekends. Food was way over priced for the quality.
Fabulous breakfast buffet with friends. Plenty of seating and waitress was tremendous!
Cannot think of any negatives. Service was professional and smooth, atmosphere was sophisticated and the food was delicious!
The potatoes on entree were raw, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, but lacked any kind of flavoring.
Excellent meal, special occasion restaurant when we visit DC area.
so happy I found it tucked away in the hotel
Lunch ended at 2 pm so we ate at the bar area
Our new favorite restaurant. Could expand dessert menu and add a salad option to the lounge menu to make it even better!
...was a gift from a relative
We ate from the breakfast buffet, but the oatmeal was cold, the french toast was hard, and sausage & eggs were lukewarm.
chef very good
Food was really pretty bad
Mediocre food, poor service. Dessert was very good.
We were at the hotel where this restaurant is and used the coupon. Excellent service. The next night we ate in the restaurant and service was horrible, food not as good. The worse service we have received in a long time. So ... for this coupon service was great. For coupon my friend used next night service was HORRIBLE.
The food was excellent, but my son's fries from his kids meal were a little too salty. We had three different people seat us, take our drink order, take our food order, and then bring us our plates. I didn't know who to ask to get our bill. We were waiting awhile for it. It was a little confusing. My husband ordered the lamb. He asked for it to be cooked well done. Only half of it was. We're not complainers. Just a few little things. Overall our food and our service was impecable.
